The Challenge
The client was a small facility but growing a High Value crop with tight budget constraints. Consequently, they required a fertilizer solution to help meet the heavy demands of its crop while transitioning from premixed fixed batches of fertilizer to a concentration injection method.
The solution
- The AgriLogiq team designed a pump room capable of fertigating and irrigating seven zones, each requiring distinct fertigation recipes comprising various ratios of five different chemicals.
- We worked with the farmers to understand the concentration ratios they required for their specific plants.
- We provided a full refurbishment of the pump room using as much of the existing equipment as possible.
- We supplied a new control system with remote accessibility and warning systems.
- We provided inline EC & PH systems with auto balancing options.
- We connected the water pumps as circulation stirrers to help reduce costs.
Results
- The farmers acquired a concentrated pre-mixed fertiliser solution, ready for mixing and irrigating.
- The Agrilogiq team then trained the farmers on the pre-set solutions to easily deploy and change them as needed.
- The result was an 80% reduction in time required for mixing fertiliser.
